Glass-fiber reinforced PA6 is the material that defines the tactical accessories market — used by Magpul, Fab Defense, and virtually every serious polymer accessory manufacturer. We process it correctly.
The workhorse for 60–70% of tactical polymer parts. High impact resistance with a notched Charpy of ~15 kJ/m² at +23°C and ~11 kJ/m² at -30°C — critical for field-condition durability testing.
Upgrade from PA6 only for parts adjacent to gas systems or barrels where sustained temperatures exceed PA6's HDT. Accepts a 30–40% cost premium and slightly less forgiving cosmetic finish.
