LCP+45%GF/MF for 0.3 mm thin-wall fan blades, RF antenna housings, and reflow-compatible motor components. PBT+GF for ESC and electronics enclosures. We have hands-on LCP processing experience — not a catalog claim.
Liquid Crystal Polymer is the material that separates technically capable molders from commodity shops. Its combination of ultra-thin-wall flow, high-temperature resistance, and RF transparency has no parallel in conventional engineering resins.
LCP's rod-like molecules form a self-reinforcing skin layer under shear, enabling wall thicknesses that would cause short shots in any other resin — including 0.1 mm with specific grades.
Withstands lead-free reflow soldering (260°C peak). Motor components adjacent to high-current FETs. Stator overmolds. No degradation under sustained 200–240°C service.
Dielectric constant Dk 2.9–3.5, loss factor Df 0.002–0.004, water absorption below 0.02%. The material of choice for GPS, 2.4/5.8 GHz FPV, and mmWave radar radomes.
In-flow CTE of 5–15 ppm/K rivals metals — enabling precision hybrid assemblies and post-mold warpage below 0.05 mm. Dimensionally stable post-reflow.
The mineral filler (talc, mica, calcium carbonate) in LCP+GF/MF grades specifically suppresses LCP's intrinsic flow-direction anisotropy, reducing warpage in flat parts and improving weld-line integrity. This is the advanced formulation used in fan blades, antenna housings, and SMT-compatible connector bodies.
ESC housings, brushless motor end-bells and covers, sensor enclosures, FPV connector housings, battery-compartment hardware, and small EDF fan frames where LCP's cost premium is not justified.

Aurora Precision is geographically positioned adjacent to Taiwan's cooling-fan and motor industry — Sunon, Delta, AVC, ADDA, and Sanyo Denki all maintain significant Taiwan operations. This means shorter logistics, faster sampling, and a supply chain that Western defense and industrial drone programs can qualify as NDAA-friendly and non-China sourced.
Tell us your wall thickness, temperature requirements, and whether RF transparency matters. We'll tell you which LCP grade fits — and whether the cost premium is justified for your application.
